Passive-aggressive Wi-Fi network names ‘on the rise’ in the UK
‘We can hear you having sex’ is just one example of a recent growing trend in passive-aggressive Wi-Fi network names springing up across the UK.
It appears the days of fed-up residents knocking on their neighbour’s door to complain about loud music or unnecessary door slamming are over.
Internet users are instead letting their nearby tenants know what they really think of them via the names they create for their Wi-Fi network, a list of which can be seen by everyone in the local vicinity.
Users of social news network Reddit have posted a collection of the colourful names online, including ‘Shut The Barking Dog Up No 7.’
Other minor grumbles listed range from ‘stop slamming the door!!!’, ‘stop shouting!’ and ‘stop running’.
Neighbours also complained about fellow residents ‘stealing’ their internet connection, with one stating ‘Covet not thy neighbour’s wi-fi’.
