Viewers complain as Jeremy Paxman goes without tie on Newsnight
Jeremy Paxman has provoked a ripple of outrage after appearing on BBC programme Newsnight without a tie.
Up until now, Jeremy Paxman’s appearances on Newsnight have been notable for their tough, no-nonsense approach, with everyone from politicians to company spokesmen ending up on the receiving end of a grilling from the notoriously cantankerous host.
But last night the esteemed broadcaster made a new name for himself as he presented the show without wearing a tie, a garment he has previously called ‘an utterly useless part of the male wardrobe’.
Do you agree with him?
